Moussa is one of three Congolese basketball players currently at Dunbar HS, Lexington, KY. He attended Fuller Youth Foundation BASIC training and tested off the charts.
6’9 with shoes, 222lbs, 7’4 wing span, reached 11’11 one step vertical.
During this weekend Moussa showed great timing around the basket in blocking shots, defensively he imposed his will....owning the paint and disallowing deep paint catches. Stayed intense on the defensive boards and rebounded with soft hands, good timing while rebounding outside his area.
He dominated the one on one post drills and finished around the rim. The challenge for Moussa is owning that he is a imposing force in the paint. He showed good touch from 17’ but that could be more of a detriment that pulls him away from his greatest assets.
Things to improve: embracing who he is, running the floor consistently, weak hand development, back to the basket game, passing out of post, pick and roll angles.
Moussa projects to be a throwback center - body will remind us of a young David Robinson. In order to earn the nickname “Admiral” he will need to 1). Own his strengths 2). Lead the State Of Kentucky in Rebounding 3). Have at least five games this senior season of 10 blocks...
