Johnson and Wiseman shine

Day one was loaded with talent. Yet guard play was little erratic and some big men struggled to play with their back to the basket. Here are some of the best from Friday night.

2018 Keldon Johnson 6'6 F (Huntington Prep) Broadnax, VA (Boo Williams)

He was a monster in his first game yesterday. It's hard to match his energy and intensity.  He stroked Nike South Beach with an 28 pints and 11 rebounding performance. He said he's making an assault on the top 5 class ranking and he means it.

2018 James Wiseman 6'11 PF/C (Ensworth) Nashville, TN (Bradley Beal

His offensive skills are getting much better. He's making better decisions when he gets the ball in the post. He's always been a great rebounder and defender and that showed with 14 rebounds and 4 blocks, but he also added 14 points on 50% shooting.

2018 Mo Wood 6'7 F (Galena) Reno, NV (Las Vegas Prospects)

He is the most important piece to the Las Vegas Prospects 17U team. He may be their best scorer, rebounder, passer and defender. He single handily kept his team in the game against the NY Rens. Even though it was a two point loss, it didn't come from lack of effort from. He ended up with 15 points and 8 rebounds in a low scoring game,

2018 Shandon Brown 5'9 PG (New Hampton) Brockton, MA (BABC)

This was big for the young fella. After missing most of the spring and all last summer he was itching to get his buzz back up, and he did that in a big way. With one of the countries best shooters in foul trouble (Cole Swider), Brown took over. He scored at will and dictated the pace of the game. He got his teammates involved and raised havoc on defense. He finished with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assist. I definitely see him having a great spring and summer.

2018 Cameron Reddish 6'7 G (Wettown School) Norristown, PA (Team Final)

Although Cam didn't shoot it well, you could definitely tell he was the best player and prospect on the floor. He can get any shot he wants and when he wants it. He can hit you from deep are punish you in the lane. It's crazy when you finish with 24 points and 7 rebounds and you feel he still can play much better.
