LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (Central Gwinnett) Was the site for the annual On The Radar Middle School Camp. The talent level was solid throughout positions and shows that Georgia will be on solid footing in the future. Here are a few players that stood out during the games.
2022 PG Devin Wiggins (Bright Academy) Lefty pg, has good vision, handles and quick.
2022 CG Nyle Hillmon (Lindley Middle) Long CG with good ball skills, feel and passing ability. Does what most guards in high school don't do...kicks ball ahead. Rebounds plays both ends.
2022 CG Andre Young (Lindley Middle) Slashing combo with scoring ability and passing skills, solid shooter. Was very effective attacking and finding his teammates.
2022 F Manny Duany (Campbell Middle) Classified more as an athlete at this point but with his motor, competitiveness and bounce, effects the game on both ends. Excels in transition, made athletic plays
2023 C Aaron Jones (Mossy Creek Middle) Long, slender center, shows soft touch around the basket, runs floor. Raw offensively
2022 F Chauncey Wiggins (Edwards Middle) Long forward, who showed solid ball skills. He was very good getting it off the glass and pushing up the floor. Future small forward with continued work.
2022 PF/C Joyful Hawkins (Jane Macon Middle) 6-7 Long, athletic power forward that shows tons of potential. It was block party whenever guards dared to venture to the lane. Needs work on the offensive end but is already dominant on defense. Runs the floor very well.
2022 SF Anthony Grant (Bonaire Middle) Very good ball skills, scoring tools, can score off the bounce using change of pace and mid-range pull-up. High IQ and solid rebounder.
2023 PG Stephon Castle (Clements Middle) Showed patience finding cutters when attacking basket, nice change of pace
2022 PG Caleb Blackwell (Buford Middle) Shooter with solid range, good motor. Has some flair but had tendency to do too much on break opportunities. Solid passer
2022 PG Emmanuel Vasquez (Duluth Middle) Lefty, with good ball skills, not overly fast but plays at a solid pace and doesn't gets sped up. Good passer, competitive.
2022 F Michael Kinnard (Marietta Middle) Long forward that shows future wing abilities, runs the floor, rebounds. Can grab it off the glass and start the break.
2023 PG Zocko Littleton (Hiram Middle) Long pg with good handles and passing ability. Showed solid stroke and good use of hesitation dribble.
2022 C Daniel Madamidola (Dacula Middle) Raw big was very effective all day. He as a good touch to 12 feet, making about 75% of those shots in the games I saw. Needs work on footwork
2022 G Parrish Johnson (Kipp SFA) Long Wing, strokes it.Tthrough growing pains had issues with knee which slowed his movement but made defense pay when left alone.
2022 SG Tobias Lewis (Kipp Strive) Shoots it well, slasher, solid handles. Very confident shooter. Could play on the ball.
2022 C Duece Miller (Home School) Raw big, that runs floor and works the glass. The right hander did a nice job of finishing plays with off hand around the basket.
