Manning puts on shooting exhibition, Hunter, Ewin, Hawkins, Littleton shine

This group is just starting to get its shine but what a good group it is. The Elite100 Showcase was a good event to see what this new group of high school ball players bring to the table. Deep group with huge potential. Here are just a few of the top players from Sunday.

PG Dillon Hunter (Westlake) Utilized his size and handles to beat defenders. When in the lane he can finish above the rim. Was very good kicking out to streaking teammates on the break. Very good rebounding guard that competes. Huge upside.

PG Mason Manning (Murrah, MS) Best shooter in the gym Sunday. Had eight three's in one game. Makes contested shots. Solid handles and IQ allows him to beat defender off the bounce.

PG Zocko Littleton Jr. (South Cobb) The one thing this kid consistently shows is his ability to shoot the ball from all areas of the court. Good passing and ball handling ability,

SG Robert Cowherd (Holy Spirit) This class has a few shooters in the mix and Cowherd is one of them. Good size for a young shooting guard, range. Tough in the mid-range and showed improved ability attacking and finishes in the lane

PG Christian Ellis (McEachern) Showed a lot of confidence in jumper, able to create separation with the dribble to get off shot. Good shooter with floater game.

WG JaKobe Strozier (Charles Drew) Used his strength, bounce and quickness to get to the basket. Tough defender.

G Scoot Henderson ( Kell) Athletic slasher who was hard to stop attacking basket with good finishing skills., Handles it well with good floater game.

WG Florian Tenebay (Greenforest) French transplant has good size, showed scoring tools in the mid-range area. Has good passing skills.

PG Braden Sparks (McEachern) Confident point with good stroke. He'll be pushing for playing time along with Ellis this season for the Indiana. Handles it well and has toughness you want in your guards.

WG Gianfranco Farias (Alatoona) Played with energy and fearlessness. Slasher with good shooting stroke and solid handle. Long, has potential to be a lockdown defender.

F Joyful Hawkins (Brunswick) Athletic forward with good size and strength. He was good on the glass, cleaning up misses but can also step out and shoot jumper or straight line drives.

F D'Ante Bass (Bethesda Academy) Without question one of the best athletes at the camp. The lefty also has a good touch around the lane and showed glimpses of a 3=point stroke.

F Malique Ewin (Rockdale) Very talented forward. Ewin started breaks and finished breaks. Very effective from high post with his passing and shot making ability.

PG Ashton Malone (Discovery) He made plays all day for others. He was very good on hard drives and kicks to open shooters. Uses ball screens very well.

G Juwan Gamory (Decatur) Another shooter with range, solid handle.
